City of Cape Town — Tennant Road Trial
A municipal road section showing surface oxidation — a candidate for preservation rather than resurfacing. The decision point: treat now, or defer to a costlier overlay later.
A trial section was treated with Renew a Road's spray-applied rejuvenator under live traffic. No milling, no hot-mix plant — trafficable approximately 2.5 hours after application.
In service and monitored since October 2024. Core samples inspected at 20× magnification showed enriched black mastic beneath the treated surface, supporting observed penetration and water-inhibiting behaviour — comparing favourably against conventional sealcoat.
